Bushi Combat comes to Troy |
One of the hottest shows in America invades Miami County.
Bushi Combat, a professional and amateur Mixed Martial Arts promotional company, is expanding into multiple cities. Based in Dayton, Bushi Combat has decided to expand to a possible 16 cities in 2009. Following the success of Bushi’s first three events, several arenas across the United States have sought out Bushi Combat to promote MMA events in their city.
Bushi Combat has decided, in conjunction with Hobart Arena to hold it’s first satellite event in Miami County.
“Holding our first satellite event in Troy will be both exciting and educational for us as an organization,” Bushi Combat partner Matthew King said. “We have had a lot of interest from cities wanting to be the first place to host a Bushi Combat event outside of Dayton. But, we wanted to reward the hard working people of the northern region with this opportunity. It’s also not very easy to pick up a show and move it from city to city, so Hobart Arena’s location will be a great building block for us.”
Bushi Combat IV: Vendetta will take place at historic Hobart Arena on July 26. |

Bushi Combat teaming up to Fight for a Cure |
Bushi Combat Mixed Martial Arts is looking to it’s fans to help knock out blood Cancers for future victims in their next show May 31 at the Dayton Convention Center.
Bushi Combat has partnered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Blake LaForce Camp and the National Marrow Registry to make the May show a “Fight for the Cure.” Blake LaForce is a senior at Vandalia-Butler High School who was diagnosed with Leukemia in November. He is currently preparing for a marrow transplant.
“Leukemia and Lymphoma affect millions of families world wide and the battle to defeat this disease has been a long and expensive one,” Bushi Combat partner Matthew King said. “And, there are just 10 million people worldwide on the National Marrow Registry, which helps with bone marrow transplants Leukemia victims need to help win the battle against the disease.
“We want to raise money for these programs and also help them raise awareness of the diseases and what everyone can do to help contribute to the victory over these devastating illnesses.” |
